This game really packed a punch, in the best way. It took me about an hour to play through to one of the endings, and was really pleased by the experience. usually I don't get too emotional when playing games, but this one got to me. Selkie Harbour never disappoints in making games that are both moving and inventive. I'd highly recommend this! ❤️

just a sweet little game to relax after a day of work... how lovely

this game is amazing! my one thing is the fact that if you take a break paul is destroyed and that is kind of sad

i love the art of this game!

A very nice, less than an hour long experience that manages to be surprisingly immersive while not being overly complicated, giving you essentially only 3 functions to play with. Walking, angling, and decoding. The messages have good character to them and makes the game world feel more lived in and as if there's actually something to discover out there. I feel like this game could do so well with alot more open endedness as so far it seems you only have a predetermined set of messages you can read until it's time to complete the game. Leaves me wanting more, especially when it comes to the story itself!

Overall a very nice experience, and a great way to start my morning. Thank you

did you figure out? i couldn't get it . i wanna find a explanation, or just observe deeply.

Emotional and beautiful game, short and maybe as someone else said, it lacked perhaps another ending, some decision, but I'm glad to be able to play this kind of experiences, thanks to the developers.

This gives some serious Outer Wilds vibes, please bring to Mac or browser so I can play it!

(Spoiler alert)

Very interesting experience. I love stories that make me twink twice about the actions we take. The lore is interesting, the art is pretty good and I think you might have used a metaphor around friendship and the lighthouse, wich is something that I also liked.

I just missed having a little bit of freedom choosing who to trust, but I know this would make things too complex for a free game.

Anyway, good job guys!

wait! i couldn't figure out so far, would you like to explain it in a deep for me? who is Paul, Fisherman, Overseen, Eogin, Mirror, the Foundation's metaphor? Is it represents a machine who wanna be a friend with us in the cosmos or something? And I really wonder why the result is that? i need a clear explanation!! Help me, I'm such an idiot!

Short but amazing

I didn't expect much at the beginning, but I finished the game with tearing eyes. The sadness i felt when I lost Paul for the 1st time is indescribable and the ending, along with the dialogs that precede it, are just perfect.

Sadly the game is too short, but the 30 minutes of gameplay that i had surely won't last only 30 minutes in my memories.

Paul>Everyone

Paul means Everyone? Why? I always figured Paul was like a siri, it is hard to decode humans' soul.

Loved the game! I loved the looks and the story! Very fun! Keep it up!

This was quite a neat journey. I really appreciate freeware games like this existing - a story set in space, made in 3D, a unique idea of gameplay, I like all that, but I get a feeling the story is a bit incomplete. Maybe I should have sat in the chair more but I never saw exactly where the sentient Paul thing went (as the game just abruptly ended) and I had a hard time piecing the story together. I never got the actual feeling that I was under any danger as the agency guy was threatening me. You already have this whole space setup and gameplay mechanics perfected, I think the story could be more developed. But I'm not complaining, it was free and I enjoyed my time! Thank you for making it :-)

A beautiful story

I went into this game not knowing what to expect but I'm glad I played this. The story was really good. It had me captured from the very beginning. Loved how you had to piece together the story from the bits of information. I would definitely recommend this game to people! Good Job!

Really touching experience!  Loved the atmosphere, music, and the story.

I played this game after seeing what I wanted, a fishing game with something interesting. I've always loved the sea, and everything in it, so this game was incredibly fascinating for me. Either way, this game made me very emotional, I understand what the characters are going through, I would do anything to get it all back too. Thankyou so much for making this game, for this experience and story, I hope you have a good day, anyone who's reading this.

What A wonderful thing to live in a time where a game a bout casting a prove into space with a fishingpole to decode radio transmissions can exist and be public.

Break The Universe.

masterpiece made me cry

[EDIT]  Since my initial post, I've received a new machine from the office and I don't really see so many of the issues I originally cited.

Honestly, I absolutely LOVE the design plan, but running on my box it's buggy as hell.  I'd be happy to supply additional information if you can give me specific data you'd be interested in seeing.  I'm having trouble ranging from resuming saved games to simple mechanics (too many places where a click is required that shouldn't be, for example).  Once this is cleaned up (and maybe I'm a special case and it's not affecting many people), but I agree with other users that this could be a paid title.

(+1)

Oh no, sorry you’re having problems running the game :( so far we haven’t received any feedback like yours.

Thank you for offering to sharing some extra information, let’s see if we can pinpoint the issue and fix it.

Here are some questions that will help us identify the issue:

  1. Could you give us the specs of your machine?

  2. What do you exactly mean by “too many places where a click is required that shouldn’t be”. Does it mean that you need to click multiple times at something until the game acknowledges the action?

  3. Regarding “having trouble resuming saved games”… What does it mean? It doesn’t load at all? The game closes? The game saves after some key events rather than continuously so it’s possible that the game loads a point that’s a bit earlier than when you closed it, but it should never be too far apart.

Thank you so much for your feedback! If for some reason we can’t fix the issues you’re having for this game, it’ll definitely be useful for the next games we make.
