A downloadable game for Windows

Drifting through the lonely abyss of space, Pádraig must use his lifetime of experience of fishing the earthen oceans to help The Foundation catch and decipher communication packages that conceal themselves in the cosmos. "We help the people" is their motto, but is that their goal? Thankfully Pádraig has someone he can talk to — a makeshift decoding probe called Paul.

Use your friendly probe, Paul, to fish for communication packages in the cosmos. Aim at an alteration in the sky and, being careful of your strength, cast your fishing rod. You will need to decrypt these hidden messages to help keep everyone safe. Good luck, angler.

I'm in awe with the game's narrative and the experience I got from playing it!

This indie game was a serene and calming experience. With an interesting story and some heartfelt circumstances thrown in and an ending that made me smile! Excellent work Selkie Harbour!

very good game

Super chill game with a super emotional ending at the end, very well thought out by the devs and probably one of my favourite chill games ever, looking forward to more

The game looks and feels nice! However the deciphering screen is kinda hard for me to read. Would it be possible to have an option for "higher definition" text?

thank you! We’re sorry to hear that, right now the only way to simplify the visuals of the holographic screen is lowering the graphics quality in the options menu, hopefully that helps. If it doesn’t I’m sorry but I don’t think we’ll find the time to add the necessary accessibility option but we are noting this down so it doesn’t happen in future games, thank you so much for your feedback 🙇

No worries! Lowering the graphics quality does work, and I don't mind that at all. Only be making mistakes can we make progress right? Looking forward to your next 😄

I loved this game, the game itself is quite fun and relaxing, but the story is the star, truly. I almost cried at the end, partly because those stories of friendship and loneliness got me, but this was amazing!

A touching story with amazing graphics.

What A wonderful thing to live in a time where a game a bout casting a prove into space with a fishingpole to decode radio transmissions can exist and be public.

(+1)

Very nice sir

(+1)

Very good

The game without jokes claims to be one of my favorites, it has that aesthetic of space that I was looking for a lot of time, instead of a bunch of spaceships and the like

Beautiful Game, 10/10

Wow I'm in awe, based on the art I expected a lovely game, but this drew me in so much more than I expected, and then made me cry. Gorgeous design, art, feel, and story. Thank you for creating this!

P.s. I need a sequel all about paul!

Great atmosphere, colours and overall ambience ! The dialogues were greatly written, the narration was great. And the game was the perfect length! Thanks for this game !!! :)

(+2)

I enjoyed your game, great job. As for constructive criticism, I would have enjoyed a little more in music/sounds (game was kinda quiet), maybe a little more utility in controls (space to advance dialogue), and was hoping for multiple endings. Just some notes if you ever want to expand this or things to consider for your next game!

A very immersive experience that I finished in one sitting. Hooks you before you realize.

Excellent writing that leaves room for lore development.

Thank you so much for playing! we’re so happy you enjoyed the game but sadly we must disclose that there’s only one ending 🥲

I haven't loved a game from itch.io in a very long time. This is so heartwarming and wholesome. The mechanics are fun and intuitive. The graphics are appealing. Best of all the story is amazing. What a fantastic game. I recommend this to anyone.

I recorded my playthrough if anyone would like to see:

Good Work!

wowwww  this is incredible. Both beautiful and meaningful, I completely recommend this

This game really packed a punch, in the best way. It took me about an hour to play through to one of the endings, and was really pleased by the experience. usually I don't get too emotional when playing games, but this one got to me. Selkie Harbour never disappoints in making games that are both moving and inventive. I'd highly recommend this! ❤️

just a sweet little game to relax after a day of work... how lovely

this game is amazing! my one thing is the fact that if you take a break paul is destroyed and that is kind of sad

(+1)

i love the art of this game!
