You have a gravely important message to deliver to your leader, the powerful and legendary Stone King, about an enemy army approaching the kingdom's borders. However, after many years of firm, decisive leadership and uncontested rule it will be difficult to make him hear you.

The game is so so emotional, the animation so well done! Great job! I would love it even more with an improvement of graphics and fonts of the menus in which you choose an answer!

get a different machine. No programmer wants to code for mac. Xcode is bullshit. Sorry man. It just is.

Here's a short explanation:

I wonder if in some timeline, the enemy captured the Stone King, made him into bricks, and built a cursed Well that gives terrible advice to desperate supplicants. :)

Seriously though, in its compact format, this is much food for thought. I enjoyed experiencing the complicated kinship between two people whose relationship is super asymmetrical by rights, but really they're equally powerless, equally driven by their respective roles. The power of the name stood out to me, a fairytale take on the person/function divide, and the irony in how your truth is only believed once you've been christened Liar- and bring a fake, but tangible token where so far you just had had words. I wonder if there's some general lesson in how you only learn the pertinent truths about your country and its ruler while in prison...

The fatalistic linearity fits the format perfectly. It has exactly the right amount of player choice, the messenger uselessly obsessing over ways to phrase things, and then in the end it's just: "If that's what you want, so be it." Also, I liked how the digging minigame got harder after a certain story event. Good job on the animations as well!

Loved the first sentence hahaha very nice cross reference.

It’s always very nice to read a small in-depth analysis like yours, thank you so much for playing!

I am a really big fan of the writing, the game does a good job of building tension as you slowly become more and more desperate as time goes on and you steadily gain bits of information. I think a longer game where you have to puzzle out the right response to situations could be interesting.

This is really well done! I actually played twice in the hopes that I could get a different ending and, while I didn't, I did appreciate the slight differences. Without spoiling anything, I also really liked the change in the minigame toward the end, that felt really impactful! I also, in hindsight, love that I couldn't get (or at least couldn't figure out) a second ending as trying to make a king do something they don't wanna do is essentially impossible (and the point anyway tbh lol). Well done!

Oh and I forgot to mention that I LOVE how well that art style works, and the animations on the king. And the concept of learning how to speak with him in a way that'll actually matter is so epic!

This is so awesome!!! I love the story, the art and the music is EXCELLENT, love the overall thing, just really great. I did notice a lot of grammatical/spelling mistakes and also several times I think I got the wrong responses (for example, I got the friend response by calling him friend, but then I got it again when I used another prompt). But besides the technical issues like that it's SO GOOD
